Do our solutions need to be deployed to a real machine?

Do our solution need to be deployed to a real machine that utilize the MTConnect framework? I have a good idea that I would like to work on but it is quite difficult to find an existing place to test it. Can we use dummy data or build our app as a proof of concept? Thanks!

    Thanks for asking! The short answer to can we use dummy data is "yes." If you move forward with the use of dummy data though, we would encourage you to describe the relevance of the data to a real world scenario. Good Luck!
